Climate and Energy Online Hub - The Environment Nexus
The IIEA has created The Environment Nexus, an online multimedia hub for anyone with an interest in climate or energy policy/policy communication.
Under three themes – energy and climate; water; and agriculture and food security – IIEA researchers and external experts analyse some of the most important environmental issues facing Europe and the world. The content is updated on a near daily basis and includes motion graphics videos, static and interactive infographics, FAQs, analytical policy reports and blogs.
You can access The Environment Nexus at www.iiea.com/environmentnexus.
Some of the resources available on the Nexus include:
- Animated videos on the EU-ETS and the interdependencies between water, energy and food
- Infographics on the EU Energy Roadmap 2050; biofuels and ILUC; and the challenge of feeding the world in 2050
- Policy papers on climate finance and on greening the Common Agricultural Policy;
- Frequently asked questions on water policy in Europe;
- Blogs on the EU 2030 climate and energy debate; the significance of the shale gas revolution; the international climate negotiations; aviation and the EU-ETS; the water-energy nexus; and the Irish EU Presidency priorities;
- An archive of IIEA content on energy and climate, water, and agriculture and food security issues.
The Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA) is Ireland’s leading independent policy think tank. It provides in-depth analysis of European and international affairs. More information is available on www.iiea.com.
