SWEEP-Net 3rd regional forum on: “New Opportunities for Employment, Social Equity and Sustainable Development in the MENA Region”
The Regional Solid Waste Exchange of Information and Expertise Network in Mashreq and Maghreb countries /SWEEP-Net is strengthening its role and position as a facilitator of cooperation between member countries, organizations, and stakeholders in Solid Waste Management.
This will ultimately lead to the development and implementation of innovative and practical solutions for an improved management of the increasing waste quantities in the MENA Region. Currently, SWEEP-Net is preparing its third regional forum on: “New Opportunities for Employment, Social Equity and Sustainable Development in the MENA Region”, which will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from May 14-16 2013. Key international experts and regional stakeholders will participate in this forum, including representatives from public and private sector, non-governmental organizations, donors, academics, research institutes, etc.
The event will be an opportunity for open discussions and exchange with respect to specific issues related to greening the solid waste sector and to promote regional cooperation in this field.
