Rio+20: A Water Guide
Water will be a
central component of the Rio discussions due to its role in the green economy.
Furthermore, water management structures will be part of the discussions at
the Summit.
The UN Major Group of Children and
Youth and SustainUS collaborated in the creation of a Water Guide for Rio+20.
The guideprovides an overview of the water topics that
will be discussed at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development to be
celebrated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Among the topics presented in the guide are an overview
of global commitments to water, emerging issues related to water resources,
references in the negotiation text, and policy recommendations for
Rio+20.
