Nouveau Président de l'IME / New President of IME

Lors de la réunion du Conseil d'Administration de l'Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau (IME), tenue à Marseille le 1^er Juillet 2011, Madame Milagros COUCHOUD GREGORI a été élue Présidente de l’Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau.

Après avoir obtenu une Licence et un Doctorat en Sciences Physiques à l’Université Complutense de Madrid, Madame Milagros COUCHOUD a débuté sa carrière en 1966 au CEDEX (Gabinete de Aplicaciones Nucleares a las Obras Publicas) jusqu’en 1980 où elle est nommée Chef du Département des Techniques de Mesure.

De 1989 à 2003, elle assure la fonction de Directrice du Centre d’Etudes Techniques Appliquées au sein du CEDEX où elle mit en place la Section d’Ingénierie de l’Environnement, unité chargée de venir en appui technologique au Ministère des Travaux Publics et au Ministère de l’Environnement en Espagne.

En 2003, elle est nommée Directrice Générale de l’Institut National de Météorologie (INM) et devient non seulement représentante permanente de l’Espagne à l’Organisation Météorologique Mondiale (OMM) mais également membre du Conseil d’Administration.

De 2004 à 2009, elle assure la fonction de Secrétaire Général du CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Technologicas) au Ministère de l’Education et des Sciences.

Vice-Président à l’IME depuis 1996, Madame Milagros COUCHOUD a toujours apporté un soutien actif aux travaux de l’Institut et ce, pour la cause de l’eau dans le monde méditerranéen.

Madame Milagros COUCHOUD a également contribué à la mise en place d'un grand nombre de réseaux régionaux (EIC/FENACORE, MENBO, etc..).

During the Board meeting of the Mediterranean Water Institute (IME), held in Marseille on July 1st, 2011, Madam Milagros COUCHOUD GREGORI was elected President of the Mediterranean Water Institute.

Having obtained a License and a Doctorate in Physical Sciences to the University Complutense of Madrid, Madam Milagros COUCHOUD began her career in 1966 in the CEDEX (Gabinete de Aplicaciones Nucleares has tired Obras Publicas) until 1980 when she is named Department Head of the Techniques of Measure.

From 1989 till 2003, she assures the function of Director of the Center of Technical Studies Applied within the CEDEX where she set up the Section of Engineering of the Environment, the unit asked to come in technological support to the Ministry of the Public Works and to the Ministry of the Environment in Spain.

In 2003, she is named Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) and becomes not only permanent representative of Spain to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) but also member of the Board.

From 2004 till 2009, she assures the function of General Secretary of the CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Technologicas) to the Ministry of Education and Sciences.

Vice-president in IME since 1996, Madam Milagros COUCHOUD always brought an active support for the works of the Institute and especially for the cause of water in the Mediterranean region.

Madam Milagros COUCHOUD also contributed to the implementation of a large number of regional networks (EIC / FENACORE, REMOB/MENBO, etc.).
