8th Mediterranean honorific award

Mediterrània CIE and MIO-ECSDE are calling for candidates to be considered for the 8^th MEDITERRANEAN HONORIFIC AWARD addressed to innovative projects relating to the environment and sustainable development. The award is open to all those organisations in the Mediterranean region working for the protection of the environment, culture and sustainable development issues.

This year, any ONGOING Awasing Awareness project on issues related to Environment and Sustainable development could be submitted.
Kindly note that this award will only apply for further diffusion of the project understanding that the main funding sources are already secured.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
1. An organisation presentation LETTER clearly stating the complete name and data of the project and including a short summary of the project and how the project manager was notified about this award.
2. An abstract of the project: up to 20-40 lines long, presenting the most relevant aspects of the project.
3. A description of the project (maximum 10 pages) that it must be sent as hard copy (paper) and a digital copy (CD or email). The description should include:
objectives of the project, justification, planning, implementation’s duration & location, budget, resources, monitoring control and follow-up mechanisms.
4. A file with information on the organization or person conducting the project.

DEADLINE: 15th of April 2008.

PRIZE: MIO-ECSDE will offer the winner a cheque for a token amount so as to support the diffusion of the project’s outcome e.g. educational or awareness-raising material, field work, publication, etc.

OBSERVATIONS: Presenting a project assumes full acceptance of the bases, as well as the authorization for the projects reproduction and diffusion by Mediterrània-CIE. If none of the projects fulfills the award’s specifications or expectations, none of the projects will be awarded. Any doubt concerning any of the bases’ interpretation will be solved by the jury members. The original presented form will be turned back under the participant’s petition in a three months term, starting at the award’s deliverance.
