World Water Day 22 March: Message from the UN/ISDR secretariat Director
"Natural hazards such as floods, droughts, tsunamis, tropical cyclones, and
earthquakes have the potential for causing massive harm to vital
infrastructure. One of the most serious threats that face communities and
nations directly after disasters is the disruption of access to safe
water.
This problem is particularly serious for developing countries, due to their
higher levels of vulnerability."

statement.
