Water shortage to pose serious challenges to countries in GCC
The scarcity of water resources in GCC countries is expected to create serious environmental challenges for all these countries in the future if it is not properly addressed, warned an expert.
Dr Zain Al Abden Al Sayed Rizk, Dean, Institute of Environment, Energy & Water, said, "The Gulf region is faced with a lot of challenges in terms of environment, water resources management and energy. We urgently need to address these issues to avert the risks and adverse consequences as a result of deficiency in water and energy."
