WATEC Israel 2007 - the 4th International Water & Environmental Technology Exhibition & Convention

The WATEC gathering is our country’s premiere event for reinforcing the position of Israel as the “Silicon Valley” of the global water and environmental technologies market, a part of a national initiative approved by a comprehensive governmental decision in order to accelerate development of new water technologies. The initiative includes: directing and strengthening the academy, deepening the integration with capital, integration with international strategic bodies, encouraging the international activity of the Israeli water industry, mostly by the annual WATEC exhibitions and conferences.

WATEC Israel 2007 –International Water & Environmental Technology exhibition and conference, is Israeli initiative for turning the global water shortage crisis and the environmental challenges into a phenomenal economical growth engine.

Bringing together Israeli and international business executives, political decision makers, and leading researchers, WATEC 07 will foster substantive debate and insights on the key issues facing the world's water and ecological systems, and thus enable a critical appreciation of the challenges – and also opportunities – facing the environment today and in the near and long-range future.

Situated in one of the world's most arid regions, Israel has faced a water crisis throughout its entire history. Israel has made a virtue on necessity, however, and has pioneered extraordinary advancements in national water management systems and technologies such as drip irrigation, water recycling, wastewater management, and water desalination.
