IWEH09 - The First International Workshop on Environmental Hydraulics: Theoretical, Experimental & Computational Solutions
The First International Workshop on Environmental Hydraulics will be held
in Valencia (Spain) on the 29th and 30th October 2009, sponsored by
IAHR.
The general objective of our workshop is to provide an
International Forum for researchers, engineers, professors, educational
scientists and technologists in the areas of Environmental Hydraulics:
theoretical, experimental and computational aspects. It will be an
excellent opportunity to present, demonstrate and discuss research,
development, applications, and the latest innovations and results in
this important field.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is May 8th, 2009.
The workshop program promises interesting topics on the most current technical progresses and developments in the current research trends in the area of Environmental Hydraulics, especially in those solutions for modelling environmental problems related to theoretical, experimental and computational aspects.
The aim of the workshop is encourage scientist, engineers and researchers to present and facilitate communication over their experiences in modelling environmental problems related to hydrodynamic aspects of fluid modelling; including fluid mechanics analysis, transport of pollutants, mathematical and system modelling, experimental and theoretical validation experiences, measurement techniques focused to environmental problems, etc.
The workshop scope endorses the topics related to:
· Mathematical and numerical modelling of environmental fluid mechanics problems
· Dispersion of pollutants
· Particles movement in fluid environments modelling
· Experimental experiences related to hydraulic models of environmental problems
· Measurement and validation of hydraulic models
· Theoretical approximations to environmental problems
· Turbulence modelling
· Water and environmental engineering and hydroinformatics
· Measurement strategies applied to environmental hydraulics
Contributions will be related to the research, education, and engineering-practice issues associated with these topics.
