10ème Conférence Internationale
Istanbul - Turquie, 17-19 Octobre 2012

Chers collègues et amis,

Je vous rappelle que la prochaine et 10ème Conférence Internationale « EURO-RIOB 2012 », organisée par le « Groupe des Organismes de Bassin Européens pour l'application de la Directive-Cadre européenne sur l'Eau » se tiendra les 17-18-19 Octobre 2012, à Istanbul, Turquie, à l'invitation de l’Institut de l'Eau turc (SUEN).

En vertu de sa situation stratégique exclusive à l'intersection de l'Europe, de l'Asie Centrale, du Moyen-Orient et de l’Afrique, la Turquie est un excellent endroit pour la communication et une meilleure compréhension des problèmes de l’eau communs à ces régions. Istanbul, qui forme un pont entre les continents, est la Ville par excellence pour le dialogue, l'action coopérative et l'échange de savoir-faire et d'expérience.

L’ensemble des travaux est ouvert à tous les organismes membres et observateurs du RIOB, ainsi qu'aux administrations de l'eau et organisations intéressées par l’application de la Directive-Cadre et de ses "Directives filles", des Pays membres et candidats de l'Union Européenne et de tous les autres pays d'Europe Orientale, des Balkans, du Caucase et d'Asie Centrale et du bassin méditerranéen.

Une traduction simultanée sera assurée en anglais, français et turc.

L’inscription à la conférence « EURO-RIOB 2012 » est gratuite mais obligatoire.

Vous êtes invités à présenter une communication sur vos expériences et vous trouverez, ci-joint, le formulaire nécessaire pour votre inscription.

Notre réunion s’organisera en tables rondes portant sur les thèmes d’actualité de la mise en œuvre de la Directive-Cadre de l'UE, du projet de « Fresh Water Blue Print », de la mise en œuvre de la Directive Inondations de l'UE, des stratégies pour faire face aux pénuries d'eau et aux sécheresses et en général les mesures à mettre en place pour adapter la gestion des ressources en eau aux changements climatiques, de l’Interface Science - Politique, ...

Nous pourrions également parler des résultats du 6ème Forum Mondial de l'Eau, de la Conférence de l’ONU « RIO+20 » et faire le point sur le « Pacte Mondial pour une meilleure gestion des bassins ».

Plusieurs événements parallèles pourraient être organisés.

Toutes les informations utiles, programmes et communications seront disponibles en continu sur le site Internet : www.riob.org .

Votre réservation hôtelière, à un tarif préférentiel de groupe, pourra être effectuée à l’Hôtel Istanbul Grand Cevahir et Centre de Conventions où se tiendra la conférence. Vous êtes priés d’effectuer vos propres réservations dès le 15 juillet en envoyant un e-mail à Funda Suleymanoglu (funda@gch.com.tr) et au Betul Cevahir (betul@gch.com.tr) ou en appelant le +90 (212) 314 42 36.

Je vous conseille d’arriver dans la journée du mardi 16 octobre, 2012, à l’aéroport international Ataturk d’Istanbul, d’où des navettes seront organisées pour vous conduire à votre hôtel et au lieu de la conférence. Si votre agenda le permet, vous pourriez repartir d’Istanbul le samedi 20 octobre 2012.

Nos hôtes turcs prennent en charge les navettes depuis l’aéroport et les déplacements à Istanbul, ainsi que les déjeuners et diners, du mardi 16 octobre au soir jusqu’au vendredi 20 octobre.

Malheureusement le RIOB ne peux prendre en charge les coûts de vos voyages internationaux et de vos chambres d’hôtel à Istanbul.

10th International Conference
Istanbul - Turkey, 17-19 October 2012

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I would like to remind you that the next and 10th “EUROPE-INBO 2012” international conference, organized by the “Group of European Basin Organizations for the Implementation of the European Water Framework Directive„ will take place, at the invitation of the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN), on 17-18-19 October 2012, in Istanbul, Turkey.

By virtue of its exclusively strategic location at the intersection of Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa, Turkey is an excellent ground for communication and achieving a better understanding of common water problems in the respective regions. Istanbul, standing as a bridge between the continents, is the ultimate city for dialogue, cooperative action and exchange of know-how and experience.

The meeting is open to all INBO member organizations and observers, and also to the water administrations and organizations, interested in the implementation of the Framework Directive, and its “Daughter Directives” of the member and candidate countries of the European Union and of all the other countries of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Caucasus and Central Asia and of the Mediterranean basin.

There will be simultaneous translation into English, French and Turkich.

Registration to the “EUROPE-INBO 2012” conference is free of charge but compulsory.

You are invited to present a paper on your practical experiments and you will find here the form necessary for your registration.

In order to facilitate the good organization of the meeting and your best welcoming in Istanbul, I thank you in advance for also returning, at your earliest convenience, this form to:

Our meeting will be organized around roundtables dealing with the updated issues of the Implementation of the EU WFD, the draft of the EU Fresh Water Blue Print, the Implementation of the EU flooding Directive, strategies to face scarcity and droughts and in general the measures to be introduced for adaptation of water resources management to the effect of the climate changes, Science - Policy Interface, …etc.

We may manage also places to speak about the results of the 6th World Water Forum, “RIO+20” UN Conference in the water field and make a point on “the World Pact for better basins management”.

Several side events could be organized.

Your hotel booking at group discount price can be made at the Istanbul Grand Cevahir Hotel & Convention Centre, where the Conference will take place. You are requested to make your own reservations from July 15 onwards, by sending an e-mail to Funda Suleymanoglu (funda@gch.com.tr) and Betul Cevahir (betul@gch.com.tr) or calling +90 (212) 314 42 36.

I would advise you to arrive in Istanbul on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Ataturk International Airport, from where shuttles will be organized to drive you to your hotel and to the conference venue. If your agenda allows, you could leave Istanbul on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Our Turkish hosts will take charge of the shuttles from the airport and local travels in Istanbul, together with lunches and dinners, from Tuesday, October 16 evening to Friday, October 20.

Unfortunately, INBO cannot support any cost for travel and accommodation in Istanbul.
