Beyond compliance: how regions can help build a successful sustainable Europe
The conference will conclude the work of the GRDP (Greening Regional Development Programmes, "co-financed by the programme: INTERREG IIIC") partnership on the development of a 'Toolkit for integrating the environment into regional development'. The different components of the toolkit address the issues that confront any local, regional or national authority when faced with the challenges of balancing economic development and the environment. Delegates will be able to learn how to use the toolkit in practice. Participants from outside the GRDP partnership are particularly encouraged to attend these workshops.
The event will also look at opportunities within the new EU funding cycle 2007-13. For example, you could join GRDP partners working on the development of the follow-up proposal. At the same time, other attendees can participate in the practical proposal writing or look at Do's and Don'ts of project development.
There will be also space for discussing your project ideas. We are inviting all interested participants to submit new project ideas for territorial co-operation projects on 'Environment and Economy'. Deadline for registration: 29 March 2007.
Agenda - Logistical Note - Registration form.
