Objectives | The project is a collaborative research effort between a number of Arab countries and aims to provide a service to the nation as a whole. | ||
Results | The program will have the following results:
Networks One of the objectives of the program is creating a specialized network in the field of water containing scientists from the various specializations related to water in addition to experts in water desalination and purification technologies as well as decision-makers in the concerned circles in the Arab world for the exchange of expertise and opinions and discussing the ways to reach the best solutions to the pressing water problems in the Arab world. It will also be a window for creating awareness of the importance of the subject of water and a consultancy center for its related issues. Conferences and Symposia The project will go through a number of execution phases. In each phase a meeting will be held to bring together scientists and specialists working in the project to discuss the achievements on the way to reaching the ultimate goals of the project. In this framework the first meeting of the project was held in Marrakesh (Morocco) where research groups were formed and group coordinators were chosen and tasks were assigned. Currently, preparation is underway for the second meeting which will review what has been accomplished so far and will set the guidelines for the upcoming phase. |
